Description
We inaugurated the 2018 winter season by offering 2 weeks of workshops to 140 schoolchildren and volunteers from the region. The idea was to create a wood signaletic, for Village du Monde, an intercultural market organized by Miroirs de femmes, a partner association of the district. The participants discovered the practices of two groups of artists: the architect collective DYNAMORPHE and ATELIER MAJUKA.
The constellations imagined by Dynamorphe have been drawn with the intention of being able to be made by a random number of people, in a simple way, and with a final form (size, directions, color composition) depending exclusively on the temporality of the workshops and choice of participants. In order to keep the final result to a minimum and to ensure correct inflations of the structures, they proposed a series of simple rules allowing a group of participants to make a module and to join it to already existing ones. The shapes and various directions taken by the inflatable structure were very similar to constellations of stars, which gave it its name! The effect is even stronger at night, thanks to the integration of lights that run through the entire structure.
Action
Carried by the association Juste Ici, “Les Ateliers Juste Ici” is a city contract supported by the City of Besançon, Grand Besançon Métropole, the Commissariat général à l’égalité des territoires – CGET , the DRAC and the Bourgogne Franche-Comté Region.
Biography
Dynamorphe is a young collective of architects working around the concepts of reactive, interactive and automated architecture. They integrate robotics and kinetics into the very structure of their projects. Beyond the construction of a specific structure, they explore geometry and constructive systems that allow us to design and create spaces in motion.
