Description
The first work in a series that will be rolled out in the Planoise and Clairs-Soleils neighbourhoods, the ‘Porte-bonheur’ creations were designed by Laura Tisserand and produced with the residents of each building concerned.
These building façade decorations were conceived based on discussions with residents about joyful images and symbols, anecdotes about the building, and their representations of lucky charms.
After an initial meeting and drawing workshops where everyone can draw one or more symbols in pencil, the residents are invited to Laura Tisserand’s studio to create their designs in ceramic, which are then hung and fixed to the entrance wall of the building concerned. They are accompanied by a mural painted by Laura and the residents, echoing the pieces created.
This building, located at 1 Rue Dürer, is the first work in this series.

LES ATELIERS JUSTE ICI
Les Ateliers Juste Ici is a collective and creative appropriation of public spaces project led by the Juste Ici association since 2018 in the Planoise neighbourhood and since 2021 in the Clairs Soleils neighbourhood, as part of the City Contract. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the DRAC Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the Agence Nationale de la Cohésion des Territoires, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region, Grand Besançon Métropole, the City of Besançon and the MJC Clairs-Soleils. Thanks to the adult-relais scheme, artist Laura Tisserand is running workshops and creating works with residents over a three-year period (2024-2027) in these neighbourhoods.
Project supported by Loge GBM, Neolia, Habitat 25 and the Vinci corporate foundation.
Biographie
Born somewhere in the hills of Besançon in 1998, she has since had the opportunity to flourish in the visual arts as an image maker, wearing the many hats that this profession allows her to wear: illustrator, graphic designer, visual artist and mediator.
Through her role as an image maker, she seeks to highlight what she considers precious: life, in both its social and natural aspects.
She loves plants, animals, humans, mountains, the sky, rivers and forests. She strives to embody a magical and playful perspective in her artistic universe. Bringing magic back to places where we see less of it is fundamental to her: she finds it a means of fighting for the preservation of the imagination, as a tool committed to opening up the possibilities of a socially just future that is closer to the environment.
