Description
The two collectives both began their residences by working with the students of 5 classes of 5ème and the staff of the Pompidou High School of Pouilley-les-Vignes (FR). The idea was to express through their bodies their feelings and behavioural habits within the High School, with the ultimate goal of imagining the playground of their dreams.
The two residences were complementary:
– A residency with the architects and landscape designers of Atelier Bivouac and the Pari des Mutations Urbaines, supported by the CAUE du Doubs.
– A residency around performance with the Collectif bim, supported by our association.
Each workshop has been imagined so that each class contributes to a stage of the project process.
Together, in small groups, the students experimented with several exercises in order to carry out a sensitive diagnosis of the ground floor of the Collège and the courtyard, imagining uses of the future through dramatised stagings, drawing dreamlike layouts, creating models of the new facilities or making collages in situ in the courtyard.
The residencies ended with :
– For the Atelier Bivouac: an exhibition on the walls of the courtyard of all the work carried out, to give the whole school and the visitors of the Opening day a view of what it’s all about.
– For the Collectif bim: a performance by the students on the Opening day of the Pompidou High School.
The project continued in 2019-2020 for the Atelier Bivouac, coordinated by the CAUE du Doubs.

Biographies
Le Collectif bim
The Collective bim brings together more than twenty performers. Together, they compose and explore an artistic field halfway between theater and dance, which allows them to get out of established codes and places dedicated to representation. They create bodily performances in situ by reinterpreting, emphasizing, diverting inhabited spaces, always with a touch of humor and poetry. Always collective, their creations most often come to life in teams of 3 to 10 performers. They make it a point of honor to regularly open their practice to other creators (architects, landscapers, dancers, photographers, videographers, associations, etc.), not to mention the many participatory projects carried out with groups. amateurs (children, professional groups, residents, retirees).
L’Atelier Bivouac
Bivouac workshop is a landscaper collective gather around a commun inspiration: explore new ways to develop public space projects. For them, experimentation and research are inseparable from physic territory experience: be here and attentive, live here and now. Their project work is built on an immersive approach: they propose to inhabit for a time the order place and deploy an open sky workshop. This presence on the spot allows them to understand needs and inspirations of the one who live here and make territories alive to formulate and build an appropriated answer, singular and wise. By their attention to “what’s already here”, by their inventory works, by saving means, they are taking advantage from local resources, by reusing and recycling.
