Description
For Field Lettering, Hélène set herself up with her paintbrush like a microphone in order to phonetically transcribe all the sounds around her: whispers, cries and other squeaks. Transposed into words, these frozen sounds could then be read in space, unfolding ephemerally, like a musical score in onomatopoeia.
Hélène Marian performed this live painting twice during the festival: on Saturday 7 June at the launch of Bien Urbain at the Biergarten and on Sunday 8 June in the courtyard of the Musée du Temps.
