Description
Blo and Duncan Passmore have collaborated to create an evolving abstract mural combining their two artistic approaches. They draw inspiration from the constant overlap between graffiti and censorship paintings. Throughout the festival, their painting has continued to evolve, thanks to a play of organic compositions where different layers and phases of creation come together.
In September 2025, this wall will become a free expression wall managed by the City of Besançon.

Biographie
Blo (whose real name is Claude Blo Ricci) is a French artist originally from Lyon, now based in Paris. He started out with graffiti, then his work evolved towards painting. Dividing his time between muralism and studio work, Blo uses a patchwork or giant collage structure to juxtapose shapes, colours, textures and lines.
Duncan Passmore is a Scottish artist based in Basel. His work lies between urban art and contemporary art. He navigates between studio painting and mural painting. Duncan uses techniques such as smudging, erasing and polishing to reveal hidden structures, inviting the viewer to discern their own meaning from the work through apophenia (the tendency to perceive patterns in random things).
