Description
The artistic group Chuglu (winner of the ADAGP’s 2024 Urban Art Revelation Award) spent two weeks in Besançon searching for stolen parasols and sunshades.
Throughout the festival, the parasols appeared in different parts of the city, as if to taunt those searching for them. During a visit to the Citadel and the Battant Bridge, where they protected passers-by from the heat, the parasols wandered around Besançon, meeting residents and curious onlookers.
The investigation ended on Sunday 15 June, at the close of Bien Urbain, with a surprise and joyful stroll in the pouring rain, sheltered under the Vitabris and the recovered umbrellas and parasols.

Biographie
Since 2015, the Chuglu art group has been staging happenings, events and installations in public and private spaces. Chuglu was formed at the Beaux Arts in Marseille around 2014; it is a flexible group with a core of individuals from artistic, craft and theoretical backgrounds.
Their approach to art is collective and aims to bring people together. They create moments where art and life merge for an instant through installations where the body, speech and objects always lead to surprising interactions.
